Frederick Stibbert began his collection of arms and armour as soon as he came of age and returned from his study period in England. Inside the museum you can see his collection of interests, covering everything from costumes, paintings and tapestries to furniture and other applied arts. The museum is home to some 50,000 items – with the greatest part of them on display – including archaeological items, musical instruments, and liturgical objects.
