After this first stop our shuttle will take you to Herculaneum! Ancient Roman village, Herculaneum was submerged by the lava of Vesuvius during the eruption of 79. It was found by chance in 1709 following the construction of some excavations for a well. The works to bring it back to light began in 1738 and were interrupted several times over the years; today it is possible to visit this ancient city once the heart of an active and dynamic society.
