The National Museum of Cinema, known all over the world for the variety of activities and exhibits, extends upward as a spiral inside the Mole Antonelliana, developing the historical progress of world of cinema on different levels. The first floor consists of the Archeology of Cinema, followed by the Temple Hall and the Film Machine. You will then find a floor dedicated to the Poster Gallery and you will culminate your visit climbing up to the the dome of the Mole Antonelliana. Before becoming a monument for national unity, the Mole was designed as a synagogue by architect Alessandro Antonielli in 1863, and was completed in 1889. In 1961 the panoramic elevator was opened: it is still in function, allowing you to reach the temple placed at 85m .
